"714.2" is degrees of theft; "321J.2" is operating while intoxicated (OWI). Returns the statute text plus its amendment history (the Acts that enacted/amended it) and cross-references ("Referred to in ..."), each as a separate field. Pass "year" (2000, or 2004 through the current year) to get a historical edition instead of the current one. Keyless. Use for "what does Iowa Code 714.2 say", "Iowa OWI law", or to check an Iowa statute a case relies on.ia_code_titles — List the 16 titles of the Iowa Code with their official names and chapter-number ranges, e.g. Title XVI is Criminal Law and Procedure (chapters 687-916). Routing help for when you know the subject but not the chapter/section number — call this or ia_code_search before guessing a citation. Keyless.ia_code_search — Search the Iowa Code by TOPIC or keyword rather than citation, e.g. "landlord security deposit", "concealed handgun permit", "operating while intoxicated". Matches against the Iowa Legislature's own official chapter and section CAPTIONS (not full statutory prose — Iowa does not publish a general-index or full-text search of Code section text, verified live) across all 16 titles, then returns the matching sections (or, if none match at the section level, the matching chapters) with their citations.
