Tools

• gene — Gene metadata by Gencode id or symbol.
• median_expression — Median expression across tissues for a gene (TPM).
• top_expressed_genes — GTEx Portal (Genotype-Tissue Expression project) — the genes with the highest median expression in one human tissue, given a GTEx tissueSiteDetailId such as Liver or Whole_Blood. Returns ranked genes with Gencode id, gene symbol and median TPM, with a settable result count and an optional mitochondrial-gene filter. Answers which genes are most highly expressed in human liver, brain or blood.
• single_tissue_eqtls — Significant single-tissue eQTLs for a gene.
• tissues — GTEx Portal (Genotype-Tissue Expression project) — the catalogue of human tissue sites GTEx sampled, such as Liver, Whole_Blood and Brain_Cortex. Returns each tissue's tissueSiteDetailId, display name, parent tissue site, RNA-seq and genotype sample counts and colour code; that id is the spelling every other GTEx expression and eQTL tool expects. Answers which human tissues GTEx covers and how a tissue id is spelled.
